Public Address Announcer – Trenton Devils (Trenton, NJ)

The Trenton Devils are looking for a Public Address Announcer for each Trenton home game.
The Public Address Announcer serves as the verbal communication link between the game officials and the spectators announcing information as it pertains to the game. Here are some basic requirements for the job.
A good announcer will take the time to consult with team representatives prior to the start of the game on how to pronounce difficult names.
Announce the player line-ups
Announce on-ice officials
Announce goals and penalties when play is stopped
Announce goals
time of the goal
number and name of the goal scorer
number(s) and name(s) of the player(s) being credited with the assist(s)

Announce penalties
time of the penalty
team, number and name of the penalized player
type of penalty / name of the infraction
Summarize the score and shots on goal after each period
At the end of each period, the score and shots on goal for each team should be announced.
Work with Game Director in announcing commercial sponsor reads and any other announcements deemed necessary.
Since this is a Game Night position only local candidates are preferred.

Game Day Operations Staff Intern – Kalamazoo Wings (Kalamazoo, MI)

Kalamazoo Wings & Wings Stadium seeks Game Day Operations interns who will be assisting us with:

Organizing and ascertaining for K-Wings events
Entertainment coordination , game day props, and set up
Assisting with live in Game elements
Assisting the Game Day Director and Front office staff with all in-game promotions
Coordinating game stoppages and intermission activities
Setting up contests, tossing t-shirts and any other in-game related duties
General office duties
Preparing ballot sheets, doing promotional research and more
Working closely with different departments within the organization and all other projects assigned

Hours: Office hours are available and can be determined with manager. Must be available to work all K-Wings Home Games.

Requirements: Pursuit of a Sports Management, Marketing or a related degree is preferred.
The ideal candidate must have great communication skills, be professional and be able to multi-task. Applicant must have proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Any experience working for a team, athletic department, or with a sporting event is beneficial. This is a non-paid internship and is requiring the individual to be receiving college credit. The candidate should be, but not limited to a Junior, Senior or graduate level student.

There are more career opportunities in sports and entertainment today than ever before! The Toledo Walleye would like to offer college students the chance to learn about the variety of sports and entertainment careers. Students will have the opportunity to meet Sports and Entertainment professionals from the Toledo Walleye, Toledo Mud Hens, SMG Entertainment, the Toledo Blade, and BCSN! Internship information and applications will be available for the Toledo Mud Hens, Toledo Walleye, and BCSN.

During this time, you will also be able to gather information on Toledo Mud Hens, Toledo Walleye, and BCSN internships. Applications will be available for 2011 Toledo Mud Hens summer internships and BCSN internships. Appetizers and beverages will be provided.

2:45 – 3:20pm – Professionals will speak to the students about opportunities in Sports and Entertainment. Speakers will include:

Registration is $30. Once you register, your name will be added to the Toledo Mud Hens and Toledo Walleye employment database. You will receive exclusive internship, part-time, and full-time job announcements before they are posted for the public.
Each participant will be provided with a Toledo Walleye game ticket and a meal voucher to use at the concession stands during the game. You will receive your ticket and meal voucher at the registration table before the event.
