Location: Carlsbad, CA
Reporting to the chief brand officer, the UX/UI web designer will be responsible for driving all facets of the brand’s digital visual design, user experience, and creative production across the SKLZ network of sites and digital marketing communications. The right candidate will be very strong in UX/UI, well-versed in responsive and mobile-first design practices, and will be expected to stay at the forefront of digital creative and development.
While playing a critical role in the strategy and execution of online creative marketing initiatives, the UX/UI web designer will also work very closely with the broader marketing organization to help develop brand marketing programs across the SKLZ media mix. Teamwork will be essential in order to coordinate and facilitate integrated programs while working with both the internal marketing department and outside agency partners.
Taking a strategic and creative approach to all design work, the UX/UI web designer will drive and support their ideas from initial concepts through successful launches of projects.
• Responsible for overseeing and creating all web assets which include UX/UI wireframes, “style tiles”, graphic elements, visual designs, and solutions for day-to-day production including site features, image/content updates, product marketing launch assets, and online promotions
• Design, develop and produce web features and external communications, including but not limited to, new and existing product launches, banners, 3rd party promotions, microsites, emails, and overall visual site enhancements
• Communicate design goals and messages to creative participants and key stakeholders, ensuring integration of design requirements into all phases of production
• Work closely with internal print design team, other designers, and outside agencies to help drive creative marketing and site design strategies/ execution for projects beyond internal capabilities
• Take a “player/manager” role in execution of digital design efforts, both performing design functions and managing other internal and external designers and digital production staff in creation and development of projects that meet brand and campaign guidelines
The candidate is a conceptual designer who has solid core design skills and a working knowledge of front-end development skills in HTML5/CSS3. The candidate has the ability to clearly communicate intended functionality to developers to ensure a great user experience at completion. The candidate will demonstrate good judgment in design, selecting methods and techniques best suited for responsive, mobile-first design. Utilizing your understanding of interactive design patterns and trends, you’ll create memorable user experiences to maximize engagement.
• Have at least five years of experience as a UX designer, visual designer, interaction designer, UI designer or similar
• A strong understanding of current web design best practices, styles and methodology
• Proper use of typography; playing very close attention to font styling, kerning and leading
• The ability to create detailed style tiles to communicate look and feel of campaigns
• Ability to create effective UX wireframes to communicate page layout, navigation and functionality following closely to approved style tiles
• Ability to work from existing brand style guides to ensure consistency
• Expert knowledge of the most current version of Adobe Photoshop
• Intermediate knowledge of photo editing and clipping
• Intermediate knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and InDesign
• Advanced knowledge of designing for mobile-first + responsive web design
• Ability to clearly communicate functionality preferences with developers
• Intermediate understanding of current HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design coding specifications
• Familiarity with jQuery, responsive frameworks, etc.

• Experience with CMS platforms
• Detailed online portfolio that includes examples of UI and UX design, and demonstrates strong design ability including hands on experience with web and graphic design

You will be responsible for working directly with colleges, high schools, club team sports, and other athletic organizations to acquire customers. In addition, the Team Sales Representative will identify and secure new revenue opportunities working with key internal stakeholders to deliver the right product and brand support necessary for long-term success. Expected results are to grow revenue profitably with the specialty team market. You will ensure that the SKLZ vision, mission and values are upheld while making a positive contribution to the company culture.

As the Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for delivering best in class service to our customers while maintaining a high level of integrity.

As Customer Operations Coordinator, you will provide operations support for the Sales, Marketing and Distribution Departments. Support includes, but is not limited to, EDI Order processing including ASN, Packing Lists, Bills of Lading (BOL), routing requests, inventory allocation, invoicing, carton label processing using SYSPRO, UPS Worldship, and LTL/TL routing. In addition, you will be required to perform general office duties, including processing requests for information and/or sample shipments from Sales and Marketing.
• Understand Major Retail Account routing, packaging and labeling guides
• Process incoming orders via electronic data interface (EDI), FAX or e-mail
• Create ASN, Packing Lists, Bill of Ladings (BOL) and Routing Requests
