POSITION SUMMARY

The Category Coordinator is accountable to assist in the execution of business objectives in alignment with the strategic plan for the purpose of driving short- and long-term top and bottom line growth for the category. This position champions the New Era Brand and is accountable for driving business by assisting in the implementation of plans aligned with category and overall company financial targets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Provides critical support for the daily operations of the category
* Coordinates category specific market research
* Create category specific margin documents
* Coordinates calendar for the category to track product launches, events, and key category dates
* Interacts with internal marketing and sales teams to support category initiatives
* Communicates with sales team on routine updates
* Sends caps and sell sheets to customers upon request
* Coordinates all materials needed for category specific Trade Shows
* Provides reports through SAP/BI on a regular basis
* Conducts competitive analysis
* Assists in developing external relationships with licensed and retail partners
* Coordinates and monitors CARS / Team Adds requests to provide category approval
* Coordinates category specific needs for GCP
* Assists in the internal communication of licensed logo changes / updates
* Tracks approval status of category launches
* Responsible for monitoring inventory levels for category specific stock, residual and chase
* Assists in forecasting of stock items
* Assists the coordination of category specific Hot Market programs
* Coordinates category specific Cap Machine programs

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

* Basic knowledge of business and financial principles
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Identifies gaps and recommends improvements on current business processes
* Able to build and maintain internal and external relationships
* Ability to assist with implementation of strategic initiatives
* Strong time management and organizational skills
* Enthusiastic, proactive and positive approach
* Ability to communicate effectively
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Previous experience with SAP preferred

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
* Bachelor Degree in Business, Merchandising.
* Knowledge New Era Brand and of the sportswear or apparel industry preferred.
