Job Title: Women’s Golf Assistant Coach

Overview: Assist the head coach in the planning, organization, and administration of the women’s golf program. This is a part-time 12 month position.
Job Responsibilities: – Adhere to all NCAA, conference, and institutional guidelines, policies, and rules
– Demonstrate leadership and professional behavior when dealing with student-athletes
– Maintain positive constructive working relationships with student-athletes, athletics department coaches and staff, and all members of the College community
– Take a sincere interest in the personal, academic, and athletic development of the student-athletes
– Exhibit loyal, supportive, and cooperative behavior to the head coach, the men’s & women’s golf programs, and the College
– At all times promote the Men’s & Women’s golf programs in a positive way to the College community, to the community outside the College, to high school coaches, and to recruits
– Recruiting
o Help maintain the recruiting databases
o Corresponding with recruits via mailings, phone calls and emails
o Support recruit visits
o Attending off campus recruiting events
o Attending showcase tournaments
– Golf Team Management support
o Assist in practice planning, organization, and coaching
o Assist in game preparations
Education / Experience: Bachelor’s degree desired. Golf knowledge required and playing experience desired.
Competencies / Skills: Ability to demonstrate golf related skills, interpersonal skills between students, staff, alumni and friends of the College

Physical and Mental Demands: Physical Demands:
Must be able to demonstrate golf related techniques. The job entails normal sitting, standing and walking throughout the course of the day.
Mental Demands:
Must be able to work in loud environment and keep mental concentration associated with events. Maintain professional attitude and demeanor in difficult situations. Position must have the ability to multi-task in a very busy environment
Work Environment: Well lighted, well ventilated pleasant work area. Work with students and accompany team when traveling.
Equipment to be Used: Must be able to be proficient in word, excel and able to learn other computer programs. Equipment related to sport.
Work Hours: Part-time 12 month position, hours vary per week depending on time of season. Flexible schedule is required, including evenings and weekends.
