Graphic Design Internship
Visual, Print, Advertising, & Marketing
Under the direction of the Buffalo 716ers design team, utilize creativity and design skills while working on a variety of projects, including but not limited to print, online and outdoor advertising; marketing collateral; and logo design.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Involvement in various phases of a project, including: contributing to brainstorming and team meetings, involvement in aspects of design, presentation, photo shoot, production and planning • Interpret brand guidelines and embody a consistent visual brand representation within design • Prepare appropriate files for printers and vendors
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Attention to detail and sound design and typographical skills • Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet strict deadlines • Experience with printing processes and file preparation • Excellent written and oral communication skills• Works well individually and in a team environment Education and/or Experience:
Must be pursuing a degree in Art, Design, or Visual Communication at an accredited college or university in the Western NY area year standing.
Computer Skills: Advanced software proficiency required in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop in a Mac
environment. Intern must have a command of Microsoft Office including PowerPoint and Word.
Compensation & Work Hours
-This is an unpaid internship -Must have a flexible schedule and able to meet (2) per week with the Buffalo 716ers staff.
